With a shock you suddenly awake.

Darkness surrounds you.

For an instant you feel burning pain that send slow pulses of
cramp through your sore torso. For some reason your high
high pitched scream seems to ease the pain, and after some heavy
breathing you manage to slowly raise your aching head off the ground
and through the pale mist you catch some glimpses of the nearby
surroundings. Tiredly you stumble up on your knees and sigh.
Once again you raise your head and this time discover that you
are in some sort of a cave, although it is much too dark to see
anything clearly.

search

You search around the room but find nothing of interest.

HP:230 EP:1>

search walls

You slowly stand up on your feet and reach for the walls of the cave.
The cold, moist stone send a shiver down your spine as you
touch it, but you are too exhausted to react and instead
lean against the wall. A feverish layer of blue mist slowly
slowly descend before your eyes and your vision is all blurred.

Somewhere far off you hear ominous slow chanting, but perhaps
it's just your mind playing a trick on you.

listen

You listen.

HP:230 EP:1>

listen chanting

In a desperate attempt to focus on the chanting you suddenly
suddenly realise that you are in the middle of it. It seems to
surround you, although you can hear one voice stronger than
than the others. You shamble towards the voice and as
as the sound grows stronger, the darkness of the cave seems
to diminish. As your vision grows stronger you realise
that you are in fact in a tunnel, and it appears to have no end.

The chanting grows even stronger. For some reason
you have the strange feeling the song is about you. Suddenly,
as if someone had whipped you from behind, you fall down
on your knees.

look

There is too much mist here.

listen chanting

Once again you focus on the chanting, which by now has grown
furious and is filled with rage. Far off you think you have
have located the source of the song, and old man sitting by
a small fire. It is very strange, you think, for some reason
the mist does not cover him.

look man

An old man, sitting by a fire, clad in some blue robes.

HP:141 EP:3>

look fire

You cast a glimpse on the fire, and at first it looks like
a normal fire. But then you realise that the flames are
are no ordinary flames, they have a touch of blue. Amazed
and puzzled you stagger closer to the fire. When in range,
you reach out with your hands to feel the heat of the flames.

HP:230 EP:230>

The old man chuckles and looks at you.

With a gasp he opens his mouth as if to speak, but says nothing.
Slowly he examines you with his dark solemn eyes, still he
makes no sign, but sit silent as stone, as one waiting patiently
for some call that has not yet come.

wait

You wait.

HP:230 EP:230>

Slowly the old man reach for his pouch, unfolds some herbs,
which he carefully places on the fire. At once it roars and shoots
up flames of blue and azure. You can feel the the cosy heat engulf
you. Now with the new light you can clearly see who the old man is.

kneel

You kneel humbly

HP:230 EP:230>

The old man, who you now recognised as Turamarth, looks
at you once more and then begin speaking with a soft voice.

Turamarth says: It was good that you came, for I have news for you.

listen Turamarth

You listen to Turamarth.

HP:230 EP:230>

Turamarth coughs and then continues.

Turamarth says: Aina Amarth is growing, and today a new follower joined us.

nod

You nod.

HP:230 EP:230>

Turamarth says: However, we are not quite yet certain of his intentions, and
therefore Turamarth has decided not to hand out any information about any
other members than ourselves. Time will show if he is a worthy member of
our cult. Until then, you may not tell him about any other members in our
     cult, except yourself.

nod

You nod.

HP:230 EP:230>

Turamarth says: So remember, introduce yourselves to him if you wish but do not
mention the names of any other member in this cult.

Turamarth slowly places yet another leaf on the fire, which results
in more smoke, and then he is gone.
